How long until I can view my session proofs?

Unlike many photographers who take pictures and upload them in hours to a website for purchase. Christy carefully reviews the hundreds of RAW photographs from each session. With her skilled eye, she selects a group of images that reflect the uniqueness of each family. These images then go through a detailed editing process: each photograph is carefully cropped to enhance composition and then expertly adjusted for tone, contrast, highlight and shadow. As a result, Ii could take up to a week tor two before you will be able to view your proofs online. The wait is worth the it and I pride myself on giving each family that undivided attention while processing.

Types of Sessions Available?

If the idea of bringing your children to a traditional photography studio makes you nervous, rest easy, there?s a better way. Sit back in the comfort of your own home, relax, and let a professional photography studio come to you!

At home studio sessions by photographyMOM studios (aka Christy Scheeler) are designed to be spontaneous, often candid and let each subjects unique individuality shine through. With the unpredictable nature of the weather eliminated, at home studio sessions are ideal for newborn babies and young children alike. It is my goal to present each client with a unique series of photographs that look nothing like most traditional "portraits."

Photo Selection & Editing

In their quest for beautiful photographs of their kids, parents often become frustrated shooting roll after roll of film to get one or two decent shots. And although good, they still look nothing like the images of other children they see in magazines every day?how come? Simply stated, creating extraordinary photographs entails much more than simply taking good pictures.... The painstaking process of photo selection and editing is what makes professional photographs look the way they do.

What parent hasn't leafed through a baby magazine and pictured their own child on the cover? The images we see in magazines today were carefully chosen. Often selected from hundreds of photographs, and invariably the photographer's best, these images raise parent?s expectations for what great photographs of their children and family should look like?and that?s a good thing!

In order to exceed my clients high expectations, I will shoot anywhere from 100 to 300 frames during an average 90 minute session. This is the digital equivalent of 12 to 24 rolls of traditional film! From this group of raw photographs, I will personally select a group of the best photographs to go through an extensive photo editing process. Like the images from the magazines, these shots will be cropped to enhance composition, color corrected and completely retouched. In additional to overall enhancements, Christy will select a few of her favorite images for specific fixing of any visible blemishes & scars are removed, teeth are whitened and eyes brightened before the client ever sees the images.
